Learn the Life - Erasmus project

The Lystbæk Association at Lystbækgaardnear Torstedhas for the second time received an EU Erasmus grant for international collaboration.

The intention is, among other things, to develop rural areas and promote the influx of local and non-resident tourists.

The project is called ”Learn the Life”.

We focus on improving communication skills in order to impart knowledge, craft knowhow, andthe values of the rural population’s cultural heritage (rural skills).

The other project partners are from Iceland, Norway, Croatia, Lithuania and France.

We look forward to a creative collaboration regarding rural area development, and cultural and experiential tourism in the moorland and in the company of animals and people.

On 26 and 27 March 2020, we expect to receive visitors from Lithuania, Iceland, Croatia, Norway, and France.

There will be workshops and lectures. A programme will soon be available.

OVERVIEW OF THE EU-FUNDEDPROJECT ”LEARN THE LIFE”

Participants:

Lithuania, Croatia, France, Iceland, Norway, and Denmark

Purpose:

To improve communication skills in order to impart knowledge, craftknowhow, andthe values of the rural population’s cultural heritage (rural skills)

Goal:

To strengthen knowledge, interest, insight, and understanding of the heritage so that it can be passed on and strengthen a feeling of identity and creative expression infuture generations.

To promote the influx of local and non-resident guests and tourists to experience and discover the vibrant and creative cultural heritage at Lystbækgaard.

To promote health and well-being (happiness, self-care, self-esteem and a feeling of identity: (”I Know, I Can, I Am”) among the usersof the existing offers at the farm for local and non-resident guests.

Promote climate-friendly, sustainable activities with zero tolerance ofwaste.

Promote establishment of small consumer-basedproductioncompanies

Method:

Pass on cultural knowledge and factual skills through direct learning and experience: ”Learningbydoing” – ”Knowhow and Discovery”

Means:

Produce a dogmapicture montage/video for each topic/activity that starts fromLystbækgaard

Actors/craftsmen to produce the product: Volunteers from the Lystbæk Association (NGO: Non- Governmental Organisation)

Funding:

Volunteers from the Lystbæk Association, Lystbækgaard, EU Erasmus, other funds

Target group:

Lystbækgaard’sown stakeholders, teachers at business schools, colleges and other educational institutions, as well as cultural, tourism and business stakeholders.

Timeframe:

First draught of at least fiverecordings to be complete by 28 February 2020. The two best recordings (best practice) for publication in the final product for communication of our cultural heritage to be complete in September 2021 (with the total project with the six partner countries).
