A Farm for Adventures at the Jutland Moor
Here you can experience the craft of the moor in accordance with the history of the nature and the culture in West Jutland. There are also changing exhibitions with artists and craftsmen whose works are inspired by the West Jutland nature.
Lystbækgaard is situated between sea, moor and wood in the old Torsted Parish southeast of Ulfborg. For many generations the farm has been a traditional farm. The many outhouses are a sign of that.
Today the outhouses are used for visitors and contain cafe, servants' hall with a wood burning stove and farm museum. A weaving room, a felting room and wood and willow workshops are also available.
Beyond that there is a sheep stable and a "patting" fold, where the children can get in close contact with the animals. Finally a "forest playground" is at the visitors' disposal.
A living active cultural inheritance is passed on by courses, open workshops, markets, willow weaving days and sheep days. In that way the Association of Lystbæk and the owner, Sheppard Berit Kiilerich, try to pass old, forgotten crafts and traditions on to new generations.
